Chesapeake Figure Skating Club is hosting a USFSA Testing Session for skaters testing at the Pre-Preliminary and Preliminary MIF, Dance, and Freestyle levels. The Test session is to be held on August 25, starting at 10am at Ice World Ice Rink. For additional information please reference the test application and/or contact Kathy Sapitowicz our Test Coordinator. The August Board meeting has been rescheduled to 6:30pm on August 17th. Due to the unavailability of judges, the August test Session has been cancelled. Autumn Skate Competition in Wilmington, DE is to be held on November 19-22, 2010. 2011 South Atlantic Regional Figure Skating Championships are to be held October 15-19, 2010 in Wake Forest, North Carolina Eastern Sectional Figure Skating Championships are scheduled for November 9-13, 2010 in Aston, PA Competition Announcement… Philadelphia Skating Club and Humane Society Challenge Cup 2010 Washington Figure Skating Club invites CFSC Club members to compete in the 2010 Potomac Open! The event will be held from August 20-22, 2010 at Cabin John Ice Rink in Rockville, MD – the same location as last year and where the 2010 South Atlantic Regional Championships were held. This year the Potomac Open has events from No-Test through Senior, adult, dance, and artistic. The announcement and entry are available at potomacopen The new membership year starts July 1, 2010. Ice World is holding an advanced figure skating camp on June 21, 22 and 23 for skaters in Pre-preliminary freestyle and above. Coaches for this camp are Chris Conte, Joy Thomas and Heather Piepenburg. Reisterstown is hosting a unique opportunity for area skaters, Artistry in Motion Performance School. To the members and friends of Chesapeake Figure Skating, I would like to thank all those who attended our Annual Bull Roast and were so supportive of our club. I would also like to thank those who were so giving of their time in ensuring an enjoyable and successful event. Thank you coaches for providing free lessons for or our raffle winners.
